Why I Support Dennis Kucinich

From Dominic in San Diego :

Dennis Kucinich has been described as the Peace Candidate. He is certainly that. But he is much, much more. For American progressives, Kucinich is the only real option. He has been fighting to end funding for the occupation of Iraq. He has lobbied fiercely for single-payer healthcare. He is an active and aggressive campaigner for the environment. He opposes tax cuts for the rich. He supports human rights, civil rights, LGBT rights, and the right to choose.

Most importantly, perhaps, Kucinich is a staunch defender of the core principles of the United States and its government. Because of this, he opposes all expansion of the executive branch. He opposed the USA Patriot Act. He has challenged the results of the last two presidential elections. And he has been standing, often alone, for the impeachment of George W Bush and Dick Cheney.

Not only would Kucinich represent and advance the progressive impulses of a majority of the American people, he would restore dignity, responsibility, and accountability to the Office of the President and respect for our national institutions - starting with the Constitution.

Finally, Dennis Kucinich is honest. He tells the truth. And his record reflects his words. Despite his physical stature, that alone puts him head and shoulders above every other candidate in the running.
