And it will be much closer to the election. There's a law professor in Chicago cwho'surrently working on the case against the senator and is trying to organize a grand jury to investigate him. One of his letters, suggesting Obama has broken federal law, can be found <a href="http://www.politicalgateway.com/main/columns/read.html?col=688" rel="nofollow">here</a>. You can rest assured that there's a solid future (or a small fortune) for some Republican in the DA's office who could put together a formal investigation or (who knows?) actual <em>charges</em> before November. And you know as well as I do that it's totally irrelevant in a political campaign whether or not the charges have any more substance than an Obama stump speech. I wish this were all getting more coverage now, because you know the GOP is going to take full advantage of this if Obama gets the nomination. And it will be much closer to the election.
