For all the talk about first and second place, the real count here is in terms of Delegates going forward to the Convention.

The delegate count – from Real Clear Politics – shows the degree to which delegates are determined by numerous factors – the so-called “super-delegates”

Of course, all this might be tossed in the air at an Open Convention but for the moment, all things being equal, this seems a good reckoning of just where delegates have been committed.

 

DEMOCRATIC DELEGATES:

Sen Clinton 203; Sen Obama 148; Sen Edwards 50

REPUBLICAN DELEGATES:

Gov Romeny 59; Gov Huckabee 40; Sen McCain 36; Gov Thompson 5; Rep Paul 4; Mayor Giuliani 1
