(16) Sen. Hillary Clinton

Bitches get stuff done.

Ricky D., our resident Clinton supporter (from Brooklyn, NY) draws our atttention to the return of comedy TV last night when Saturday Night Live returned
These two sketches from last night’s SNL first post writer’s strike broadcast are making waves already…

But, it’s really Tina Fey’s guest appearance on Weekend Update….

Say it loud and say it […]

Musings on the latest sweep by Sen. Barack Obama….

I have never been a Hillary basher. Although I know she and Bill are meant to be the most politcally calculating couple since the Thane of Glamis and his Lady (what? No mention of Liddy and Bob Dole??? Or Lynne and Dick Cheney????), I rather always admired her intelligence and her discipline.
Neither […]

Oh, no! Another Attack Ad from Sen Clinton!!

Seriously, folks this is NOT an “attack” ad, nor is it going “negative”. The Obama people may say that he’s already done a million debates (is that all?), but it’s not the public’s fault the Democrats knocked themselves out with debates back before anyone other than that sliver of political junkies (who’d be […]

The Tuesday Night speeches….

Sen. John McCain

Sen. Barack Obama

Sen. Hillary Clinton

Thank God, the Republicans are going to play nice and only talk about issues

No doubt inspired by the inspiring Sen from Illinois, the Republicans have turned their backs on decades of Nixonian, Atwaterian and Rovian tactics and this year are going to fight a good clean fight based on the issues…

…….oh, never mind…

The strategery for electing Sen John McCain begins…

U.S. Said to Seek Execution for 6 in Sept. 11 Case
(Read about judicial horror story in today’s New York Times.)

Over the last few weeks I have become rather deflated. The ascendancy of McCain has not been a surprise, though the speed with which both George Bush And Karl Rove have flocked to his side […]

Obama-Huckabee sweep! Which means what exactly?

Obama didn’t just win yesterday, he won big enough to maximize his net gain of delegates out of the four contests. In the Virgin Islands, for example, he won 90% of the vote and captured all three available delegates. His strategy going forward is clear.
In squeezing every delegate out of the small and mid-sized states […]

No, I won’t tell you who I voted for. But I will tell you who James Wolcott voted for…

Fresh from Vanity Fair:
So spurn me, I voted for Hillary.
I have many faults and quirks, but one thing I’m not is a narcissist. My vote isn’t about Me. Who I am, how I conceive myself, how my vote positions me in the pulse of the moment. The tab I flip in the voting booth […]

Camelot redeux? Sen. Obama is the new Jack Kennedy…who was, again? (Time for a reality check?)

Ricky D, our Clinton advocate on steroids is back with what he promises is his final plea for Democrats to vote for Hillary. Somehow, I don’t believe him, but here goes…from Ricky D. in Brooklyn.
What I dislike most about some of the Obama supporters I have among my friends is that […]

Does this help?

At the moment (inc. awarded superdelegates) Sen. Hillary Clinton is said to have 261 (not including possible delegates from Florida and Michigan) and Sen. Barack Obama has 190 (also not including possible delegates from Florida and Michigan). There were 26 candidates awarded to John Edwards before his withdrawal last week.
On the Republican side, […]
