Chris Matthew’s terrier like questioning of State Senator Watson of Texas regarding his support of Sen. Obama is classic Hardball. A bit unfair and certainly cruel, it nonetheless crystallizes the sense many have that Obama’s supporters are all about the rhetoric but not much substance.

Of course, that’s unfair, too; Sen Obama actually has an impressive record for a first term Senator but the point is that his own supporters can’t make the case for him based on his real record. That’s too bad, and while it seems to have no effect on his growing numbers, it should.
